Deepotsava
This year's
Deepotsava, a celebration of both Deepavali and Rajyotsava
took place in West Bloomfield Middle school in Farmington
hills, MI. This event attracted a crowd of 200 people. The
drama directed by Nagaraj Tavarekere
and the exclusive concert by Sri. Vidwan S Shankarm was
really outstanding. The drama troop did an excellent job. The
dinner was catered from udupi restaurant and was delicious.
Thank you to all the patrons for attending and making this
event a successful one and also to all the volunteers for all
their effort.
Ganesha
Pooje
Ganesha
Pooje was performed on Sept 12th at "The Temple of Eternal
Mother - ParaShakti" temple in Pontiac, MI. Around 100 people
attended the pooje, songs of Lord Ganesha was sung with deep
devotion and dozens of volunteers sponsored the food. Our
sincere gratitude to all the volunteers and also to the the
temple priests who did an excellent job in performing the
pooje.
AKKA
Comedy Show
"Nagoke
illa Recession" was held on May 23, 2009. The
event was peformed by comedy trio from Karnataka - Gangavathi
Pranesh, Richard Louis and Mimicri Dayananda. The PKK members
had laugh of their time. PKK want to thank AKKA for organizing
this event.
Ugadi
Ugadi hubba
celebrations held on April 18th, was truly a grand success. Many
kids showed off their talents with great festive spirit. More than
200 people attended the event to make it an remarkable evening.
Festive food ordered from Udupi was delicious and appreciated by
all. Out grateful thanks to each one of you for coming and making
the event an evening to remember.
Purandara Dasa Aradhane
Purandara
Dasa Aradhane was celebrated on Feb 28th at Kalakshetra in
Farmington hills, MI. More than 150 people attended this event.
Several famous Purandara Dasa compositions were sung. The
dance performances by the students of Nrityollasa Center directed
by Roopa Shyamasundara were truly excellent and had the audience
delighted. Congratulations to all the participants for providing
such an awesome performance.
Deepotsava
A celebration of both Deepavali and Rajyotsava was conducted by PKK on the 8th of November. Approximately about 200 people attended the function at Lawrence Technological center Science Auditorium in Southfield. Food catered by Suvai Indian Restaurant was Excellent. The cultural program which included a variety of items started at 6 PM and had the audience glued to their seats until it ended at 8.30 PM. Kudos to all participants!
